After Alysun + Darien's winter engagement shoot last January where we almost froze to death, their autumn wedding in eastern Oregon in October was a very welcome change in scenery and seasonal colors. All of the trees were alive with fall colors, and Alysun looked stunning in her fitted wedding dress. And how cute is their sweet pup as the Dog of Honor?? This day was so full of love and celebration that I felt it all over again as I put this post together. Congrats Alysun + Darien!
I've blogged before about one of the shoots we had at Tyler Rye's Zion Workshop last fall at sunrise, but this shoot took a special place in my heart at sunset as the last shoot in our schedule. It was styled as a Native shoot with all kinds of goodies. We drove up to a cliff in the area and had to use ladders to get up and down from the location. We photographed as the sun went down and this real-life couple gave us stunning looks to shoot. The best part? We all got to sit around and dine on the delicious spread that Forever More Events had styled for us. It was a farewell to remember, and the photos still blow me away.
Blakely + Brandon are the kind of clients that you become friends with after shooting their wedding. But quite literally, we did become good friends. They got married in the most intimate private club in Portland and the garden setting was simply a dream. Brandon was cracking us all up once again, much like the engagement session, and Blakely was a vision in her lacey back dress. One thing was clear, so much love was flowing through them and every guest that evening.
Remember when my college roommate called me up and asked me to do her engagement and wedding day photos? Well she brought her A game with planning her wedding, and it just happened to turn into her own wedding planning business (go Jess!) Lake Tahoe provided a dreamy backdrop for this bohemian wedding where Jess made the napkins and table cloths out of shibori fabric herself, and ended the night with flower crowns for every bridesmaid and dancing into the night. This wedding will be one I remember for a lifetime, you just have to scroll down to see the tables and decor for yourself. Congrats Jessica + Brett!
There wasn't a detail that Courtney + Dave didn't think through for their wedding day, and it resulted in the party of the year. You couldn't have picked a more stunning backdrop for the ceremony than the Grotto in Portland, or a more elegant party place than Cooper's Hall. From the couple's first dance that they had been rehearsing to the sweet vows they exchanged in front of everyone, all eyes were on them. And dressed like that, who wouldn't be?
Chelsea + Dan's winter wedding sure came to life with a fresh snowfall just days before, providing a stunning backdrop for the day. These cold temperatures didn't get in the way of this couple's passion and love for each other, and it came through in so many ways. With winter whites and cozy cocktails, like the balloons said: love was in the air!
This dreamy setting for Liz + David's wedding took place at David's family vineyard in his hometown of Lewiston, Idaho. Liz wore a veil that was handmade by her mother, and rain clouds rolled through in the morning that cleared just in time for "I do's". This couple was one of the sweetest to work with, every story shared about their relationship spoke highly of their love and respect for each other and those around them. Oh, and they surprised all guests by arriving to the reception in style - in a flashy helicopter! I truly wish this couple the best in their next chapter.

I knew this would be a fun wedding to shoot after spending some time with the adorable couple last September shooting their engagement photos out in the gorge. The Evergreen was such a classic and beautiful venue for their wedding day, and the sunset we were lucky enough to catch on the water made for a stunning backdrop. I'm always a fan of a groom in a tux, ladies am I right? I'll let the photos speak for themselves, vendors linked on the bottom!
When Kelsey + Ryan called and asked to bring me along to their destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I think I almost jumped through the phone to say yes. A photographer's dream! But even more than that, getting to work with this loving, positive and enthusiastic couple was more than I could have asked for. Their families completely embraced Ali and I and showed us what the true meaning of love is. They said their "I do's" on the beach and danced the night away through sunset. Just wait 'til you scroll down and see those glowing dancing photos, I wish we could fly back and do it all over again. Thank you Kelsey + Ryan, I wish you the best!
