I always love doing calligraphy for weddings, and this sweet bride asked me to make name tags for all of the gifts she was giving to her bridal party. Such a sweet way to do so!
I finally did something I've always wanted to do a few weeks ago, teach a calligraphy class! Only for some of my friends, of course. But it was a great start in the right direction. I held it at the adorable Workshop PDX and we all had a blast. Here's a few photos of our day!
As all first "holidays" will be hard after my mom's passing, my birthday was no exception and kind of the first major event. I wanted to be surrounded by people that loved and supported me through the good and the bad, and the perfect setting was at my friend Lena's Kitchen for a private dinner party on her back patio. She delivered nothing short of delicious food and a beautiful table setting to top it off. I felt spoiled and fancy and everything I wanted to feel on my birthday, and for that, I'm thankful.

I had a blast writing out all of these envelopes for a wedding in Lake Como, Italy. I used a watercolor brush with calligraphy ink mixed with water to get the soft effect.
I had a blast working with Hannah and all of the calligraphy she wanted throughout her vineyard wedding. For the table numbers, she even took my handwriting and had someone local trace it onto plywood so she could laser cut it them out and spray them turquoise. It was pretty fun to see!
